Privacy Policy
Aust Property Investor (“we”, “us”, “our”) is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through austpropertyinvestor.com. We are a lead-generation platform, not a financial services provider. We collect expressions of interest from people considering property investment and pass them on to independent property specialists.

1. Who we are
Aust Property Investor operates austpropertyinvestor.com as a lead-generation platform. We collect enquiry details from people interested in property investment and pass them on to independent property, finance and strategy professionals. We do not assess your position, give advice or sell anything. We simply generate the lead and make the introduction. We do not hold an AFSL or ACL because our service does not require one.
2. What we collect
Through the enquiry form we collect:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- The type of investment you are considering.
- Financial profile information you choose to give us: available equity, superannuation balance, income and age.
- Technical information automatically generated when you visit, such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.
Some of this is sensitive financial information. You provide it voluntarily and only so we can match you with an appropriate specialist. You do not have to provide it, but we may not be able to refer you if you do not.
3. Why we collect it
We use your personal information to:
- Use your enquiry details to match you with suitable specialists.
- Contact you by phone, SMS or email about your enquiry.
- Pass your details to the specialists we match you with and our preferred partners.
- Keep records, improve our service and meet legal obligations.
4. Who we disclose it to
When you submit the form you consent to us disclosing your details to third parties, including:
- Property investment specialists, buyers agents, mortgage brokers, accountants and related professionals on our referral panel or among our preferred commercial partners.
- Our service providers — customer relationship management, hosting, email and SMS platforms — who may store data on servers located outside Australia (including the United States and the European Union). We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.
- Regulators, law enforcement or courts where required or authorised by law.
We may receive a referral fee or commission from a partner we introduce you to. That does not change the fee you pay them.
5. Direct marketing and the Spam Act
By submitting the form you consent to being contacted by us and by matched specialists, including by phone, SMS and email, about property investment services. All commercial electronic messages we send identify us and include an unsubscribe facility, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing privacy@austpropertyinvestor.com. Calls are made in line with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth); by giving your number and consent you agree we and matched specialists may call you.
6. Security and retention
Enquiry data is stored in access-controlled systems and is not publicly readable. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep enquiry records for as long as needed for the purposes above and to meet record-keeping obligations, then destroy or de-identify them.
If an eligible data breach occurs we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act.
7. Cookies
Our site may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; parts of the site may not work as intended.
8. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@austpropertyinvestor.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
